About Nick Richards

With a lifetime dedicated to the art of fly fishing, I bring over 30 years of experience pursuing bass with a fly rod and more than 25 years as both a professional chalkstream keeper and fishing guide on some of the most celebrated trout rivers in the world.

As a wild brown trout and habitat consultant, I combine deep technical knowledge with a practical understanding of river management, restoration, and conservation. My work has given me a wide perspective on the delicate balance of aquatic ecosystems, and I’m passionate about protecting and enhancing these habitats for future generations.

I have also worked extensively on rivers, lakes, wetlands, grasslands, and woodlands, with the shared goal of enhancing habitats and delivering exceptional outcomes for clients. Drawing on a wide network of specialist expertise, I can design, manage, and deliver a broad range of environmental projects—from concept through to completion, including obtaining the necessary consents. Whether it’s habitat creation, restoration, or long-term management, I take pride in achieving lasting results that benefit both wildlife and people.

A qualified fly-casting and fly-tying instructor, I love helping anglers of all levels refine their skills, while sharing not just techniques, but also the rich natural history that makes fly fishing so unique. My background in wildlife and habitat management allows me to offer more than just a day on the river—I provide an immersive experience in the natural world.

At the heart of everything I do is a deep passion for the outdoors, a commitment to conservation, and the joy of helping others discover the beauty and challenge of fly fishing.
