Bass on the Fly.

Saltwater Fly Fishing for Bass in the UK

Fly fishing for bass in the UK salt is an electrifying and unforgettable experience — and one I’ve been perfecting for over 30 years. Now, I’m delighted to share that journey with others who want to chase these incredible fish with a fly rod.

Your Day on the Water.

Your day will be spent aboard my 13-foot Orkney Dory, or wading the UK’s sand flats fly fishing the rich inshore waters of the UK coast for our most breathtaking inshore predators.
I generally only take one or two anglers at a time, ensuring a personalised, focused experience.

You’ll explore a range of techniques across the tide:

  • Casting surface flies to explosions of bait-busting bass

  • Switching tactics to target larger fish at depth with my custom tube fly patterns

I have recently experimented with guest days and will, next season be launching a four rod service. This will be based around fishing the rising tide from wading marks and using the boat to move from one to another otherwise inaccessible spot.

Whether you're sight casting to bust-ups or hunting in deeper water, this is fly fishing at its most dynamic. It’s not just a fishing trip — it’s a saltwater fly adventure.
